Google Workspace on Mercurie
Mercurie combines Google Workspace with local Naira billing, subscription management, and support for Nigerian businesses. Your team still uses Google's apps and Admin console; Mercurie provides the purchasing, billing, and account management layer around the subscription.

What is included
Google Workspace
Depending on the Google Workspace edition you choose, your team can use:
- Business email on your company domain through Gmail.
- Google Drive for cloud file storage and sharing.
- Docs, Sheets, and Slides for real-time collaboration.
- Google Meet and Calendar for meetings and scheduling.
- Google Chat and other Workspace collaboration tools.
- Google Admin for users, groups, security settings, and access controls.
Google determines the storage, meeting, security, and administration features included in each edition. Mercurie currently supports Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, and eligible Enterprise plans.
Mercurie billing and subscription features
The Mercurie layer adds:
- Naira billing — view quotes and pay Google Workspace bills in NGN.
- New subscriptions — buy Google Workspace for a new domain from the Mercurie dashboard.
- Subscription transfers — move an existing Google direct or reseller subscription to Mercurie billing without moving mailboxes, files, or users.
- Flexible and annual options — choose monthly flexibility or an annual commitment when the selected Google plan supports it.
- Centralized subscription view — see the domain, plan, licence count, status, renewal date, and estimated next bill in one place.
- Licence management — add seats from the dashboard; Mercurie calculates the prorated charge for seats added during a billing period.
- Invoices and transaction history — review charges, download invoices, and pay outstanding balances from the dashboard.
- Payment management — maintain a payment method for renewals and one-off invoices.
- Local support — get help with onboarding, billing, renewals, transfers, domain setup, and subscription changes.
Mercurie discounts
The discount available depends on the order type and eligibility shown at checkout.

Self-service Change Plan Type
Change a Google Workspace edition from the Mercurie subscription page—for example, move from Business Starter to Business Standard—with the cost impact shown before confirmation.
Until self-service plan changes are released, open a Mercurie Support request. The team will confirm Google eligibility, billing-cycle impact, and any prorated charge before making the change.
Spend IQ
Spend IQ is planned to make Google Workspace usage easier for IT and finance teams to review. The planned experience includes:
- Licences assigned compared with licences purchased.
- Unassigned licence capacity.
- Workspace setup and subscription status.
- Member usage and storage visibility as the analytics experience develops.
- A clearer view of opportunities to right-size Workspace spend.
Spend IQ and self-service plan changes are roadmap features. Their final scope, availability, and release timing may change before launch.
Mercurie versus Google Admin
Use Mercurie for subscription purchase, Naira billing, licences, invoices, payments, and support. Use Google Admin for user accounts, groups, aliases, security policies, devices, domains, and day-to-day Workspace administration.
