AdPay Getting Started

Start using AdPay to fund Google Ads in Naira and manage your advertising budget through Mercurie.

AdPay getting started

AdPay helps Nigerian businesses run Google Ads without needing a dollar card. You fund your AdPay wallet in Naira, then Mercurie helps route that spend into Google Ads.

What AdPay is for

Use AdPay when you want to:

  • Start advertising on Google without handling USD billing directly.
  • Fund ad spend in Naira.
  • Create a new Google Ads account from the AdPay dashboard, with Mercurie support available if the setup flow needs review.
  • Track payments and wallet activity from the AdPay dashboard.

AdPay does not replace Google Ads. Campaign policy review, ad approvals, keyword performance, and final ad serving decisions are still controlled by Google.

Before you start

Have these details ready:

  • Your business name.
  • A working email address and phone number.
  • The website or landing page you want to advertise.
  • Your campaign category or business type.
  • Your starting campaign budget.

Mercurie may ask for more information if Google needs it for account review, policy checks, or billing setup.

Choose the right dashboard

AdPay inside Mercurie

If your business already uses AdPay inside Mercurie:

  1. Sign in to Mercurie and select your business.
  2. Open AdPay and follow the setup steps shown for your business.
  3. Fund your NGN Wallet, then choose Fund AdPay Wallet. Review the amount added, non-refundable funding fee and total debit before confirming.
  4. Create your Google Ads account using the account-creation steps in AdPay. If Google blocks creation, contact support for review.

See wallet funding and payments for the minimum and fee example. Funding a wallet does not itself create a campaign or guarantee Google approval.

Existing adpay.ng customers

Continue signing in at adpay.ng and using its account and funding instructions until Mercurie confirms your business is ready to move. Your existing account and balance should not be recreated in another dashboard. Contact support before switching if you cannot see an expected account or balance.

Google Ads account ownership

Google Ads accounts created through AdPay are set up so Mercurie can manage billing and support the account. You can still ask Mercurie support about user access, campaign setup, or whether an existing Google Ads account can be connected.

Do not create duplicate Google Ads accounts for the same business while setup is in progress. Duplicate accounts can slow down review or cause policy issues.

Billing setup readiness

Your AdPay setup is usually ready when:

  • Your AdPay account has been created with the correct business details.
  • Your wallet has been funded and the balance has reflected.
  • The Google Ads account is created or connected.
  • Any Google Ads Manager Account invite sent to your email has been accepted.
  • Google has not placed the account, website, or business category under a blocking policy review.

If you are not sure whether billing setup is ready, contact support with your AdPay email address, business name, and any Google Ads or AdPay status message you can see.

Inviting another Google Ads user

If you need another person to access the Google Ads account, contact support with the AdPay account email and the email address that should receive access. Do not share your own login. Support will confirm whether the account can be invited directly or whether access needs to be handled through the AdPay dashboard first.

Common questions

Do I need a dollar card? No. AdPay is designed so you can fund ad spend in Naira.

Can I use an existing Google Ads account? Possibly, but existing Google Ads accounts usually need review before they can be connected cleanly. Contact support before funding if you want to use an account you already have.

Who should I contact if setup is stuck? Contact Mercurie support and include your AdPay email address, business name, and the step where you got stuck.
