Switch Billing Away from Mercurie

How to move a Google Workspace subscription off Mercurie billing — back to Google direct — without losing service.

Switch Billing Away from Mercurie

You own your Workspace subscription. If you ever decide Mercurie isn't the right fit, you can move billing back to Google direct at any time without losing service, mailboxes, users, or admin access.

No interruption, no DNS change, no migration window. Your users keep their email, Drive, Calendar, and every other Workspace service throughout the change.

How it works

Google's reseller system requires the partner (us) to initiate this direction of transfer. There's no button in admin.google.com for "transfer this subscription back to Google direct" — Google deliberately routes it through the current reseller.

What to do:

  1. Open a support ticket with Mercurie. Use the Support entry on the dashboard sidebar. Tell us:
    • Which subscription you want to move (Workspace primary domain).
    • Whether you want to move all subscriptions on the account or just specific ones.
    • The Google billing account you want Google to attach the subscription to (Google will prompt for this if it's not set already).
  2. We process the transfer in Google's reseller system. This usually completes the same business day.
  3. Google takes over billing. The next renewal is invoiced by Google direct in USD, on the original renewal cadence — no reset, no short-cycle.

One-way at the moment of confirmation. Once we click Confirm transfer in Google's reseller console, the subscription is permanently with Google. Refund handling depends on your plan:

  • Annual plan, yearly payment — no refund for the unused period.
  • Annual plan, monthly payment — charged up to the date of transfer.
  • Flexible plan — charged up to the date of transfer.

If you're on an annual yearly plan, we recommend timing the move so it lands close to your renewal date so you don't pay twice for the same period.

After the transfer, the subscription disappears from your Mercurie dashboard (because it's no longer billed by us) but remains live and fully managed in admin.google.com. You can always come back later by transferring it to Mercurie again.

What stays the same

Billing changes, but nothing else moves:

Stays the same
Service uptimeLive throughout — no migration window
Mailboxes, Drive, Calendar, MeetYours, untouched
Domain ownership / DNSYours, no DNS change
Admin accessSame super-admins, same admin.google.com
User accountsAll present and functional
Renewal cadencePreserved — annual / monthly / flex stays as-is
